Gunung Sari Temple

One of the temples that became the target of touring in early 2009 was a temple which consistent with the story isn't faraway from Mount Wukir Temple. the situation of the temple at that point was quite difficult on behalf of me to seek out , it's different now that there's a nameplate for this temple on the side of the road. Actually this temple is extremely easy to succeed in from the jogja-magelang highway but because at that point the minimal information made the trip filled with stray events and questions here and there.

Location:

Dsn. Gunung Sari, Ds.Gulon, Kec. Salam, Kab. Magelang.

Routes:

From Magelang or from Jogja after arriving at digulon, to be exact, after the white time, from hopefully you'll see the nameplate of the Gunung Sari temple on the side of the road. a touch forward from the nameplate may be a T-junction. address the T-junction.

After about 2 km you'll find a T-junction. Turn and follow the road and you've got entered the hamlet of Gunung Sari.

Continue walking into the village until you come to rock bottom of a hill. Park the vehicle at the local residents and go up Capitol Hill . Gunung Sari temple is on Capitol Hill .

After arriving at the temple location, i used to be very happy, meaning that the blusukan struggle wasn't vainly . After entrusting the motorbike to the residents around me, I started climbing Capitol Hill to urge to the temple. to urge to the temple, we've to travel up through a reasonably high path.

the primary incline may be a staircase that results in an area village tomb. then the journey continues by passing a mud path through the forest. Arriving at the temple, i used to be greeted by the temple attendant, Mr. Petrus and a number of other BP3 officers who were cleaning the temple site at that point . From him I can know a touch about the history of this temple.

History:

According to Mr. Peter this temple was discovered accidentally in 1998. At that point from one among the TV stations will found out a transmitter at this place. From the research results, it seems that the situation of this temple is that the location of the strongest signal. Finally, excavation was held for the location to form the inspiration for the transmitter. During the excavation, it had been discovered that there have been tons of square-sized andesite stones, either plain or ornate. After further excavation, it had been found that more stone structures were buried therein location and after observing that the stones were a temple building, the excavation was stopped and reported to BP3 Central Java.
